Casa Ixchel

Casa Ixchel is the first home in Mexico built with 0% carbon emissions, thanks to the use of biochar, a cutting-edge material developed by @rubis.co2 that transforms sargassum into a stable form of carbon used in construction.
Through a proprietary pyrolysis process, biochar replaces conventional materials, reducing the environmental footprint while generating carbon credits and contributing to coastal regeneration. In numbers: 75 tons of biochar used in the project remove an estimated 150 tons of COz from the atmosphere.
Designed and developed in collaboration with SIJIL and RUBISCO2, Casa Ixchel proves that real estate can be both visionary and responsible. A home that not only gives back to the planet-but also offers long-term economic value to its future owner.
